A new neighbourhood, complete with a film museum, is being built at the foot of the Overhoeks tower (formerly the “Shelltower”) in north Amsterdam, and korth tielens architects won the contract to build a bridge that leads to it. In the flat landscape of Holland, if you stand on a bridge you always find yourself with a view: in this case, a view of the IJ river, the city of Amsterdam, and its northern-most neighbourhood, on the other side of the Buiksloter canal. The beams of the bridge are different heights, so you can easily change your view or orientation.
